A combination of the two.  I used the Pony creator to create the general appearance of the character, then made changes to it in Illustrator until I liked it.

I realized weaboos, furries, and scalies are all under the category brony because they are fans of the show and they forgive and forget (most of the time).

Furry fandom is a fandom for fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.

Technically Bronies are a fit the Wikipedia definition of furry.

But I don't think average Bronies are like your stereotypical furry.
