HOLY stuff YOU DON'T????

last i checked as long as you gave credit in the description of your video you could use copyrighted music

but i could be wrong.

Its a damn hard process that I know of, and it isn't even worth it. Last I checked someone discovered some right or something that says WMG can allow music usage since its just in a video but not for other purposes. I think you could buy a license from them as well but apparently people found ways around it.

I didn't use to think the YouTube copyright stuff was too bad.

Until I tried to find a clip of the Apocalypse Now beach attack scene that wasn't blocked in my country.

It's the easiest way to watch music videos without going through pages of discography on band's myspace pages or official websites. It is better, in that quality is consistently very good with VEVO videos. Unfortunately, they're saturated with advertisements, and what I mentioned earlier.

There's nothing actually wrong with VEVO, it's just the idea (for me at least) of a website that used to be about individuals sharing their content and favorite content of others with other users. Now, it's all being processed through corporations, which takes away the individuality.

Yeah, that.

protip: adblock plus for firefox blocks video ads on youtube

probably something out there for chrome users too.

Vevo also lags my videos for some reason.
