Let me rephrase my original post for the blind:
IF Paint.NET decides to throw a pantie party and ditch the OP, I know a program that can substitute it temporarily or permanently, depending on the situation. Because it has very similar control mappings and concept, with only very minor differences.
Mind you I would prefer .NET over GIMP, however my computer can't run it even if I bribed it with all the money in the world, so I am stuck with it. It can still get the exact same job done.
