Author Topic: Messaging on facebook  (Read 1861 times)

I got mad at my friend so I sent him a message on Facebook, and it had a bad word. The little idiot says he is going to report me to the school "principle" (spelt wrong?) or the counselor. I don't know if the people at school can do anything to you, if you do anything outside of school.

...<Sigh>...

Specify this "bad word"

Regardless of what the word is, you can't get in trouble for something you say outside of school. I know it probably seems like school rules your whole life but you can only get in trouble for saying a "bad word" directly at school.

If your friend told administration at your school, they'd probably say "so?" and that would be it. I would watch the content you post on Facebook though, because future employers look at facebook pages when considering you as an employee. Just...in case you didn't know.

you should reply "go forget the principal with that chod'y rooster of yours"
whats the principal going to do, write a letter? :p

at least it will be awkward for both of them when he shows him lol

Copying this and sending it to him.

Yes actually you can now. If they report it to a school official, they can get involved because you are harassing other students, regardless if it's on the internet.

Didn't you hear that whole thing about school and facebook?

Just talk to him about it.
He's probably just trying to yank your chain.

It's not harassing, at least I don't think so, but it would help to know what you said.

Nick, mind just copying to us what you said?

Honestly though, it's probably nothing that horrible, the principal probably won't care, if you just used one word. That's hardly harassing, and there are so many worse things going on. Friends of mine bitch each other out all the time on facebook using forget this, forget you, blah blah blah...haters gonna hate.

But still wanna see what you said :|

The conversation goes on like this:

Me: "GO forget YOURSELF" (he pissed me off at school)

Other person: "Jerk"

Me: "Bitch..."

Other Person: "Stop coding I can show Ur dad and the principle and mr Hagen" (school counselor)

Me: "This is outside of school. They can't do anything about this. Don't do anything... were friends, :)."

What did YOU say? And what coding? does he mean hacking?

You guys yes it is.

My school talks non stop about how we shouldn't say anything over facebook, and if someone does, tell your counselor about it and they can get the law involved depending on what they said. I'm just saying. You aren't invincible on facebook.

Also, just talk to him. I'm sure they might talk to you at most because it was just "Bitch" though.

This also depends on what grade Nick is in. High school, they probably don't care. Bitch is used in school all the time in videos, amongst lots of students frequently, and it's a harmless word for complaining. It's not even bad >.> gosh.

I say everyone at my school should see the principle. All of them cuss, when teachers aren't near them. Maybe hold a meeting about it? I only say bad stuff outside of school. But when we do, we have fun about it for some reason. But this idiot wants to report me. D:
