Author Topic: Trying to join servers results in Firefox error  (Read 482 times)

I've just bought a new PC with Windows 7 installed and I've just reinstalled Blockland, but whenever I try to join a server (On the server page of the website, by pressing "join"), a window pops up saying Firefox doesn't know what to do with the link. I tried right-clicking on it as I would an unidentified program to specify that Blockland should open it but that didn't work.

On my old PC, which runs Windows XP, clicking "join" automatically brought up a Blockland window without this error so I don't know why it's happening now.

Try copy/pasting this in your address bar:

blockland://join-82.108.135.140_28000

That should bring you to "EPIC FAIL's Boat TDM".
You can try with others, just go to 'view source' on the join page and look for a similar link.
If it doesn't work, then that's where Firefox gets stuck.

Didn't work, but thanks for the reply.

This is the error message it's giving me:

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (blockland) isn't associated with any program.

I'll try reinstalling Blockland and see if it fixes it.

Yep, that was the problem. I took the .exe file out of a backup folder. I'm an idiot. ^^;
