This past week, and last week, kids have been setting fires in the bathroom garbage cans (lol). Last Thursday, the fire alarm went off at like 2:26PM. We went back in the building after that and saw all the crime scene investigators, firefighters, and police entering the bathroom.
After the no-school friday and the weekend, another fire happened Monday at the same exact time. This time, to the bathroom RIGHT under it.
Tuesday, there was ANOTHER fire. This time I actually got to see it. We were coming out of gym, and I went to the cafeteria to stock up on cheetos. A few people were huddled by the bathroom, so I went over and facepalmed at another fire in the grabage can. T_T I promptly went to but a chocolate milk from the vending machine, then went outside as the fire alarm rang... again.
You can bet there are no bathroom passes allowed for a long time anymore, and Police stand around everywhere.
It's South Elgin High School BTW, in, you guessed it, South Elgin, Illinois.
I mean this kind of stuff happens all the time bahaha. Fights once a week. Fire alarm twice a week, M80's once a year, Etc. etc.
School fires: Two teens have been charged with arson and criminal damage to property after a series of fires in a trash can in a restroom at South Elgin High School. Police said fires broke out in the trash can on Thursday, Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, police said, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on charges related to two of the three fires. The youths were taken to the Kane County Youth Home pending a juvenile detention hearing. Police said the fires caused smoke damage to the restroom, fire damage to the trash can and clean-up costs. Police and School District U46 officials urged anyone with information about the fires to contact a South Elgin High staff member or call the South Elgin Police Investigations Division at ###-###-####.

EDIT: Also Tomorrow, there were rumors of a "shooting" going to happen because the fellow gang members of the kids who got arrested are getting revenge. Pshhh, like that will happen....
But if it does, I'll be sure to report it lol.
