Author Topic: Oh my god loving "virus scans"  (Read 1236 times)

This happened to me like a year ago, this website came up while I was playing on kongregate, and it said there was suspicious activity on my computer, and it scans, and it always find like 3 hundred trojans. They aren't real, but the last time this happened we had to do a huge scan and it took forever.

you let it complete the scan why?

Fake trojans?
That's just your anti virus trolling.

What's your anti-virus?
Avast!
you let it complete the scan why?
I didn't let it complete, but last year I let it because I thought it was real, because I didn't really know anything about computers and I was stupid.

Did the window specify any program? Was it all in lower-case letters? I've had this type of thing happen to me twice, once by a fake AV8 and another malicious program that I can't remember. If it specifies what program, close out the window with it, look it up, and run a virus/malware scan. First time this happened to me, Malwayebytes found several infected files :P

Just a suggestion. I usual run a virus and malware scan after something like that happens.

Avast!

THAT MAKES NO SENSE

I had avast and it never did that.

It's a virus, bro A VIRUS

Get Anti-Malware
its cool
and free

Ill just run malywarebites to check.

Edit: Why did it come in my browser?

Microsoft Security Essentials.
Avast is not the best anti-virus.

By that, I mean it's bad.
How so?

The website is called AVG, ever heard of it?
