Well, you probably know this, but a .22 doesn't really kick back. The bullet itself is only about 3 centimeters long, and the whole thing is like 6.
Also, aim high and right (?) (I think, I do not remember if it was high and right or low and right.) Because no matter what, that initial bang will make you nervous, just the thought of it when it is your first time shooting.

edit: protip: Adding on to the above, stay away from the people with 30-06 rifles, or .44 revolvers and higher calibers, I flinched every time it shot next to me and I could feel the shockwave of the blast.
