Author Topic: New System, Some old Parts, Will Noot Boot Into Windows. :c  (Read 379 times)

I recently built myself a spiffy little machine. I salvaged my Hard-Drive, 3 gigs of RAM, and a NVidia GeForce 9400 from my old computer. (I'll be buying a new one when I can afford it.)
I installed everything, looking good, but when it says "Starting Windows" and the two first orbs appear
(The one's that collide and make the Windows logo) it freezes for a second then instantly reboots without a single error.
I've tried using the onboard graphics, as well as with the card. Nothing seems to work. Startup repair says it cannot fix the problem. I installed Ubuntu and that works just fine. I'm using it now.
I cannot afford a new hard drive, nor Windows 7. I'm sure it's a hard drive or driver problem. Can the amazing Blockland Forum help me? :c

Look at your windows disc and see if it has scratches, also try reinstalling.

The issue is the operating system.

Try totally reinstalling Windows, and it might be that the disc is scratched just like Marcem said.

Your best bet is to reinstall Windows. :|

If you changed your motherboard, your OEM license may no longer work.
