To me, this looks like something that will look wonderful on paper, but when you actually start playing it, it will be very boring and tedious as far as game play. Also, save the "all in your head" stuff for the end and have the players believe for some time that they are fighting real stuff, or else it will all seem pointless, and likely make them think that they are probably just mauling old ladies.
