fossils can't move, dimwiti don't think a germ can just move onto a rock and fossilize in such a short time. get your facts straight before you throw your stuff at people
How do you know it wasn't a long period of time? The stupid rock was probably there for a while, and when you say fossilized you act like it takes a ton just to achieve that.There are plenty of other options other than, "The Millions of years" that is always related to fossilization. Things like that can happen in a few decades under proper conditions.

What , are you saying it takes millions of years for anything to fossilize? I highly doubt that it takes anywhere near that long, and so do dozens of other people I know.

Ummmm....NO. Their evidence is astonishingly crappy. For starters, contamination of the sample is extremely likely, due to the composition of the meteor and lack of adequate controls. The bacteria look like random mineralized squiggles on a... field of random squiggles on the surface of a crumbly meteorite, and these bacteria are very very large for a "primordial" bacterium. That picture that they show is of an ACTUAL bacteria, not the little mineral deposits found, and finally, their only evidence that these are biological formations is an elemental brown townysis that turned up a somewhat different compostion of elements than the surrounding rock. The composition of these things lacks nitrogen, one of the essential elements for life, there is no plausible way by which the bacteria could have fossilised in that type of meteor, and the journal that it was published in is, to put it mildly, disreputable. Also, nearly all biologists and astronomers who have looked at the data think that it is false. This story, to summarize, is a load of stuff. Kill this now, before it spreads. Just remember, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. This comes nowhere close to meeting those requirements.
