Author Topic: Who knows Java?  (Read 2032 times)

Have fun with that. I hope you know physics too, unless you want someone to teach you that as well.

I guess I could use Lua...

...But Java has nice physics too...

So how 'bout the economy...?

So could anyone teach me?

Java does not "have" physics.
No programming language "has" physics.
Physics is completely up to the game (engine).
However, some engines have their own scripting languages, like Torque.

...But Java has nice physics too...
Whoever told you this is lieing.
Physics would have to be programmed and it is a loving bitch let me tell you now.
I had to scrap physics from my game I am making for class because it was taking too much out of my designing time and such.
Next game we make will revolve around physics though. (And if one knew the game I was talking about, they would find the punnyness of that statement rather hilarious)

I prefer Torquescript.

But Torquescript is somewhat similar to Java.

Somewhat.

Hardly, but somewhat.

I noticed a few--oh wait I was probably looking at javascript not java

I was too lazy to spell it correctly.

can you teach me

I want to make a game.  I have a really great idea for one.

You can't just simply teach a coding language and expect to make a full fledged game.

Java isn't a good language for beginners and you should start off with a beginner program that has a simple GUI so you can understand the basics of game development.
