Out-of-body experience

An out-of-body experience (OBE or sometimes OOBE) is an experience that typically involves a sensation of floating outside of one's body and, in some cases, perceiving one's physical body from a place outside one's body (autoscopy). About one in ten people think they have had an out-of-body experience at some time in their lives.[37] Scientists are learning about the phenomenon.[38]

Techniques to induce OBEs (with the intention of achieving astral projection) and lucid dreams from waking cover such similar ground that common misinterpretation of one as the other (or even equivalence) can be hypothesized.[39][unreliable source?] Realistic-seeming yet physically impossible impressions of flying, time-traveling or walking through the walls of an environment matching one's bedroom are equally hallmarks of either.[citation needed] (As those who have experienced them will attest,[who?] neither "feels" like ordinary dreams at all.[citation needed]) Both are easier to perform at times typical for afternoon naps and late morning REM cycles.[citation needed]

Despite these similarities, EEG studies do not suggest an equivalence between OBEs and lucid dreams. Lucidity is strongly associated with stage 1 REM sleep but OBEs are far less consistent, producing EEG traces that can variously resemble stage 3 sleep, a waking, eyes-closed state or other uncategorized states.[40]

I used to have those actually and some of my real memory's of being 2-5 years old are in third person weird huh?

importent question will  'totems' work as an RC? or is that just inception fiction cause how RCs work is for you to do them in real life make them a habit and then you'll start doing them in your dream at random but will the totem really behave differently in a dream or not?

also I have some dreams when I cant actually remember if I had them today or yesterday or the day before it's weird

I had a false awakening last night. I woke up in one of the beds at my old house. I got up, walked to the dining room, pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen, and then I added the numbers 2891 and 2891. They didn't seem to add up properly, so I immediately realized that I was dreaming. I thought, "I'm going to wake up soon", because I could feel my real bed. Sure enough, I woke up shortly thereafter in my real bed, lights on and the clock reading 6:10am. Just in case, I did a quick RC by looking at my digital clock I'm always wearing. Reality :D

That's so far the closest I've gotten, I was trying a WILD by picturing myself climbing up stairs and thinking, "I'm lucid, I'm lucid" in time with my breaths :D

I've had one lucid dream.

I was in elementary school.
There was a boy named Parker Grigsby. I did not like this boy.

The school was in some sort of celebration mode, and there were streamers and confetti everywhere for some reason. Around each door was a bunch of stacked presents.

We were walking out of the classroom, single-file, with our quiet-signs up and Parker was way in the back. I willed for the packages to fall, and they did. He was crushed to death. I remember being very happy.

:(
I didn't mean that as in omg ur a forgeter, I mean that I never get any dreams lucidly.

I have this huge mirror in my room that is the door for the closet. :c

I had a dream. And I went to Varrock (runescape.), and killed a guard, and one of them said, "HALT! You've violated the law. Serve your sentence, or pay the fine." xD

I tried this and it didn't work, but I probably did it wrong.

Trying again tonight and maybe going to bed at an earlier time if I can manage to do so.
