Author Topic: How To Lucid Dream  (Read 33628 times)

I had a dream in school today.  I finished a test early, and slept.  In that dream, I dreamed that I woke up and walked to the door to leave.  Upon looking through the window of the door, I see a scary ass alien staring at me so intently I can't move.  Eventually I break free, run to my desk and close my eyes again.

That's when I got a second dream.

This time, it was lucid.  I didn't realize, so I fell over somehow.  I then got up and said, I got to get the forget out of here, flew out the window and landed on my school's roof.  I sat there for a little while, then the "bell rang" in the dream and I flew back into the class and began walking down the hall.  I go to an all boys school, yet there were girls in the hall.  I jokingly said, "Wow, its an invasion."  My friend starts laughing, more and more slowly, until it scares the stuff out of me and I wake up.

I go back to the first dream.

I wake up, and notice everyone is staring at me.  I thought that I made a noise in my sleep or twitched or something, but everyone kept staring at me.

The real bell then rang, actually waking me up.

Weirdest thing that has ever happened to me during sleep.
sorry for long quote
I was expecting at any second you would say "Then i realised i was actually awake" and that you swore at the teacher or something xD

Read the pdf guide thing and it's really usefull but i think i've got a problem, I SLEEP WALK.
will it make a difference? i've had a few dreams before where i've had a conversation and kinda chosen what to say
Is that Lucid Dreaming?
tie yourself down  :cookieMonster:

I almost dropped into a false awakening at my dojo.
They have a huge blowing fan, and we were doing corpse pose.
I kept imagining how much the fan sounded like the one in my room, then pictured myself in my room. i kept concentrating on that thought, and the image started to become vivider and vivider. I ALMOST woke up in MY BED in a false awakening, but my mind kept remembering the fact that i was in a dojo, not my room. so i kept getting a tingly feeling in my head, and finally we were told to get up and bow, so we could go. Either way i feel happy that i could've easily induced a false awakening right then and there if i hadn't anchored myself awake, (since we weren't supposed to fall asleep, just to relax) i could've triggered a MILD if i actually did wake up there :D

what time should I wake myself up to wild at night if at bed at 11pm?

Well i don't know if the PDF says this but get three or four hours off sleep, then get up for about 20-30 minutes, then lay back down, relax, and when things start to appear, make sure you grab something to zoom in on the dream. (it helps a lot)

By things i mean patterns on your eyelids lol, and you can't grab to zoom in at just any time, but when it's time you'll get a "knowing feeling" and you'll know when to do it.
Alrighty, I'll try going to bed early tonight.  As I've been reading up, and it seems A.M naps seem to be a great time for lucid dreaming.

2 or 3. it depends on the person though, but 2 or 3 is probably best.

They are. If it weren't for the fact that i have 2 sisters i would get to try more often.

ALSO: Is hypnagogic imagery that imagery you see when you close your eyes

Hypnagogic is the imagery.. yes. but it takes about 3-10 minutes to show up.

Also yeah counting works, or combining all, by paying attention to your breathing, walking down stairs down to water in your head, and counting like that everytime you reach a new step. when you reach the water you will hopefully be asleep.
