I was never into classic rock, until recently when my mom cranked the radio on our CR station. She told me a bunch of memories she had, and I just focused on the music. I can describe it in 1 word.

Heartwarming.

Today's music is just:
"blahblah mcblah love blah"
Music as old as your dad is like having jesus forget you. It's awesome. It just has feeling to it and strikes you somewhere and tickles you happily. Today it is some woman dressed in t-bone steaks singing about being forgeted. Catchy, but it has no feeling in it.

Agree?

I don't get emotionally touched by any song except that song about angels or whatevers by Sarah McLaughlin.
And that's only because my dad told me why she made it.

I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Van Halen, Lenny Kravits (if you consider him classic), The Ramones, Aerosmith, and other classic artists.

Good stuff to get nostalgic over.

The only good songs I listen to are either Angst, sad, happy, metal or electronic. I'm not so much into Classical.

Agreed, Dio's music is a great example of great rock/early metal, his lyrics are genious.

Now that's one classic rock.

Mage you are my hero.

Are you saying classic rock wasn't about having love as much as todays music is?

That really depends on the band, which is why I generally only listen to Dio.

I pretty much listen to anything but modern mainstream and country

I listen to techno stuff, dubstep stuff, in between stuff, and whatever you call what the Beatles did.

The Who or Van Halen are the best classic rock band

I really hate classical. Nightwish, Hammerfall, and Disturbed rarely mention love in their songs.
