A Monday in February was the worst day of my life.
I finished typing something up for English at home since I didn't finish it in class. My dad's printer was out of ink so I figured I'd just go in early to school and run to the lab real quick and print that stuff off and I'd be good.
1) It turns out it rained and froze the night before; I didn't know this (I walk to school) so the sidewalks were slicker than stuff. I left the house at around 7:35, my usual being around 7:43, and I was like hey, I have plenty of time.
2) I grabbed the bag of chips and salsa I was bringing to Spanish for the Valentine's Day party (it was on Valentine's Day) and left. I could tell this walk was going to suck.
3) In front of the local fieldhouse, there were massive deep puddles that were frozen; I managed the slip on one of them into the snow bank, and landed on the top half of the bag of chips, crushing them.
4) It took about three minutes to cross the road going to school since people were driving 5mph and weren't nice enough to stop for me.
5) I arrived at school at 8:05, my usual being 8:08. I ran to the lab as fast as I could and sat down at one of the stuffty Macs.
6) It took forever for Firefox to open; I tried Camino and Safari afterward and about 30 seconds after attempting to open it, Firefox opened.
7) The Hotmail download feature wouldn't show for loving ever so I couldn't download the file quickly.
8) I finally downloaded it once and couldn't find the damn file to open.
9) The bell rings, and I open the file and it says the file is corrupt.
10) I'm loving desperate at this point; I download it again and it still says it was corrupt. I spot a View Online button and I click it and I thought I was saved. I hit print and closed out, and went to the printer to see my assignment printed out like a webpage with half the document cut off.
11) I decided to forgot about it and run to my locker; I ran there and couldn't remember my combo. My friend tried to help me kick it open which usually works with most lockers, but of course not mine and not now.
12) I kicked my locker out of frustration; the halls are pretty much empty now and I know time will be out soon. I'm contemplating giving up and going to the office for a pass and a janitor's help.
13) I remember it and loving throw my stuff into it, grab my stuff and sprint to my class. I sat down just as the bell rang.
It was such a Monday.
