Author Topic: Is there a way to pay for Minecraft on a US card? (Read 2051 times)

Well, looks like I'm not getting Minecraft.... it doesn't accept my moms card, most likely because you're supposed to pay in Euros but we live in the US. Anyone know a way around this?

~~Ah. Thought you had to sign up, but you don't. It looks like the problem is with the credit card itself. I guess we can try the debit card when my dad gets home...~~
Nevermind, it says it cant be used for payment...looks like I'm never going to get Minecraft...

I bought it with a debit card and it automatically changed to euros.

Same for my friend.

Same for another friend.

Same for a lot of US Citizens.

There's no way of buying Minecraft with a pre-paid debit card, even via PayPal, and in fact PayPal will charge that card $1 every time you try to.

Your only hope is to find someone that will actually take your prepaid debit card in exchange for them buying Minecraft for you.

PayPal says that the card can't be used for payment. Minecraft itself also comes up with an error, tried both credit and debit.

Look, can someone just tell me the steps, because the payment system is seriously jacked up for me.
It says the card can't be used for payment but THERE'S MONEY ON THE CARD! And we ENTERED THE RIGHT VALUES!

Are you sure there's enough money on the card, though?

Convert the price of Minecraft in euros to USD, by just typing into Google: "30 euros in usd", replace 30 with whatever minecraft costs in euros.
