I quit playing blockland for about two years. I'm getting back on again, and it seems there are more new, interesting Add-ons avaliable. Can anyone fill me in on what's happened on Blockland the past two years?

If you want to know what's happened game-wise, just check the updates list on the main website.
All you really need to know is what is here now.
RTB is always a good place to find good Add-Ons which are popular and very good, so if you're looking for the best we have to offer, just search there.

If you're interested in Forum Wise, there's not much purpose to listing it. An awful lot of Drama with a lot of people who have been and gone, and many different, possibly memorable events have occured.
But, things move so fast these days that it would be difficult to fill you in.
If you're interested, just drop back into the community. It's easy to go with the flow.

But other than that, welcome back. It's nice to have you here again.

Probably one of the better addons thats not on RTB (yet)

is T+T2

No need for port foward some people need it
New add-ons like Old timer,Tinycar,Truism,T + T2,ZAPT v2 and new JVS.

New updates like Brick check points and keys for a nice treasure hunt and much more.

Tophius's bricks are awesome, along with a variety of other add-ons such as the Oceanpack and Tier+Tactical. There's also sentry guns and a variety of client mods that make the game easier, such as a hexcode finder client and ingame server switching. There's also a functioning day/night mod. Also hello.

Fully functional day/night and weather mod, block physics, tons of more bricks, "checkpoints", color-coded keys with events...

All Tophius' bricks is a must.

-poles
-wedges
-round corners
-windows
-extra ramps

and also..
-18 degree ramps (not so popular, but I like it)
