Author Topic: AT&T Rolls out 150GB bandwidth caps.  (Read 1362 times)

They do it because they know you need the internet and will pay obscene amounts of money for it. It's simply corporate greed as bandwidth isn't a physical commodity.

Exactly, but will it get as bad as what the article linked to in the OP details?

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad I have Comcast.

When called up, Comcast says there's a 250gb bandwidth cap on my internet service. When asked, teh Comcast rep in Best Buy says there's no cap unless you have the cheapest service plan (which I don't.)

I'm hitting the cap, and if they give me any stuff, I'll just say I was told by someone working for them that there was no cap.

Probably not.

no bandwith cap at all for any of the companies and there's 4 major ISPs here

Comcaster here. Hate them, but at least I don't have a cap.

Comcast has a 250GB limit, but I never hit it. As of right now, I'm up to 154GB for the month. Good thing I'm not using AT&T.

Can anyone explain bandwidth to me quickly please? I know I sound stupid for asking this, but I'm just wondering.

It's the data you send or receive.

Yay, just another thing that strengthens the line between the Gentry and  the Commonwealth.
