Author Topic: Greeting -Not mine-  (Read 6394 times)

Arctur.: because people might thank you for it.

When hosting a server this will come in handy when you have to greet every player that joins, and btw you can see the original author form the description.txt

WHAT DOES IT DO????????

There are a couple ways this could be vastly improved to be less of an annoyance and just better, but the gist just makes you a lazyass all the same.

i hate autogreeters with a passion

if you really care that someone just joined you'll greet them personally instead of having a bot that treats everyone with the same mechanical respect and friendliness

it's like not saying anything at all but spams the chat, too

Really any kind of automated client mod that outputs to the server's chat.

We don't need to see your stuff, we're having a conversation.
Make a GUI for your client mods.

Woo.

It works.

My version has a %6.25 chance of greeting someone you've met less that 25 times, %12.5 chance of greeting someone you've met more than 25 times, %25 chance of greeting someone you have build trust with, and %50 chance of greeting someone you have full trust will.

Even though it's cool, I would still rather just greet people manually.
