Author Topic: [BAN] App: Defense Suite (WARNING: Lots of pagestretching pictures)  (Read 2643 times)

Oh, boy, [BAN]! I gotta build a spaceship of really good quality and--

AHH! ALIENS!

...OK, I can't build in space...looks like I gotta build back on the ground.

[BAN] Ground-Based Defense Suite
"Fire everything!"

In most cases, a spaceship attacking a ground position isn't very efficient. It costs a lot, and if your enemy manages to bring your shields down and punch a hole through the engine, you're screwed. Logical-ho: Ground units are cheap and if they get destroyed, you just build another set in about 5 minutes. Goody goody. Now if you are smart, you've probably figured out that the enemy might try and counterattack, no? Why not build some ground based defenses, eh? A suite, in fact. Hey, one coming right up:

Ain't it look pretty...oh? You want a tour? Sure. Why not. For free for only $100. Let's go...

Each machine of insanity in that picture up there (excluding the ED9 and the two vehicles) each have their own pretty little levers or buttons. Heck, there's even a button that you can press which brings up a somewhat brief info block right in your chat.

PAAAAGE STREEEETCH
(Sorry, was I too late?)

DT2 Light Plasma Cannon

The DT1 was first designed and built in 2286, but was later banned when an explosion critically injured 27 soldiers in 2289 (huehue). A year later, the DT2 came on and is now in service as a safer version. The DT2 fires plasma pellets about 3 times a second. It also possesses a unique "overcharge" feature which fires a larger plasma projectile. The DT2 is mainly used as an automatic defense mechanism, but can be mounted on any vehicle or spacecraft.

LDT1 Gauss Cannon Tower

The LDT1 was designed in 2342 as a solution for quickly setting up basic defenses. It utilizes 20th/21st century technology, so it is mainly used to take out infantry and light vehicles. The LDT1 is essentially a small version of the DT2. Most people underestimate the LDT1, as it only fires gun projectiles. Alone it is quite ineffective, but clustered together they can be quite devastating. It is also useful as assistance for more powerful turrets with a lower rate of fire.

Silencer II Anti-Air SAM Launcher

The Silencer was created in 2320. Since then it was used more and more as a high-end AA turret. The Silencer ll is practically the same as its precursor, except that it has an added homing rocket feature. A very powerful, devastating AA weapon, the Silencer ll is multi-purpose and can be mounted on any vehicle, battleship, aircraft or spacecraft big enough to support it. It also has a configured turret to the Silencer I, enabling it to fire at ground targets.

Longhammer Light Artillery Installation

The Longhammer has seen its fair share of use since 2237. Though expensive, the Longhammer packs an incredible amount of power and range. At least, at the time it was first designed. The Longhammer has not been used for the past few years as a proper weapon, due to the inefficiency and the amount of power required. This version in front of you has a shortened range, for safety reasons.

Deciever Pop-up Turret

Though weak, the Deciever can be deployed in large numbers to assist other turrets. The Deciever can pop up at any time and startle the enemy. It is also armed with a shock system that causes the attacker to go confused for a few moments.

Tripwire Cloakable Mine
Possibly the most stealthiest mine ever made, the Tripwire can hide completely from sight and still be able to retain its full strength. It combines a 200MW lightning charge with lots of flammable hydrogen to make one of the neatest explosions ever.

TPC Triple Plasma Turret

Three plasma cannons make the TPC a scary sight. Using a special Heavy lonizer Engine, it can propel plasma pellets a protracted distance and burn enemy units to a black crisp. It does, however, require immense amounts of power, so USE WITH CAUTION...!

Devastator Gatling Gun

First deployed for practical use in 2359, the Devastator packs an amazing punch at any enemy unit. Its six high-powered turrets fire giant projectiles at any foe, decimating entire armies in seconds. The Devastator usually gets grouped in with other Devastators to create an effectively invincible defensive line.

Now, wouldn't we love to get a cheap way to move around?
Holy stuff man no stupid picture in this section

Heavy General Purpose Vehicle

You know you wanna drive it.

A 600HP engine drived by a nuclear reactor (old fashioned) can propel this huge thing at something like 280kph+. Its windows are bulletproof and its armour is almost impenetrable. Hey, it's even got a radio!

Light General Purpose Vehicle

More or less a van. Bulletproof windows, sliding doors. And a radio.

That's all there is to that~

Oh, and one final thing:

ED9 Shield Generator (INCOMPLETE)

A one-way shield generator. You can only shoot out, not in. And it looks pretty, too. Only problem is, it doesn't work.

Please vote yes/no or rate out of ten. Xerces, if you want to toss me into the event section instead, I'll be fine attach the save file.
And you just lost the game.

Cool but the turrets are Supreme Commander ones aren't they?

I wasn't exactly aiming to copy Supreme Commander, but I just found out in the last second.

BAN really doesn't like endless amounts of guns and projectiles. I doubt you'd get in, but the build itself is fairly good. Add more details, like covering up the basic brick textures.

Speak for yourself lol

I'm not sure about this one. I want to say yes, let me go talk to someone about it

I like it.

Especially the Generator.

Supreme commander <3

Cybrin forever :u

Some things are nice , some things are ew.
And , generally you can't stick with building weapons oly in a clan like BAN , you need to have the ability to build spaceships too , most of the time , unless stated differently. But hey , who am I to speak for BAN.
Also , you can have the fattest armor ever , if you are gonna use old fashion rubber tires you're going to stop moving pretty quickly. And the yellow in the tires is ugly :c

It looks good. You've been working a while on getting into BAN, and I personally believe you'd make an excellent addition.

One of the things we have trouble with at BAN is actually working together on projects, and I am no exception. I've learned most of my skills from hanging around Ace and Ghoul on the BAN server, but we never actually worked on the same ship. I feel that you have a skillset that would benefit working alongside others on their own projects.

I say yes.

They're all well built and fun looking, in my opinion. You get a bonus from the creativity aspect. I always like it when people write imaginative and well thought-out descriptions of the builds. It makes them much more enjoyable.

I say yes.

You sure put alot of effort into this. I usually hate futuristic weapons/apocalyptic machines of mass destruction, but this seems well thought through. Models could need a bit of work here and there, but otherwise it's really good!
