How is "Wilderness" and "The Wilderness Different?

So I've been playing Age Of Time quite a bit recently, and I keep wondering on F2 the Map List how is "Wilderness" and "The Wilderness" different. I've asked my friends but no body knows

i'm pretty sure Wilderness is when you log out in The Wilderness or Wilderness and log back in. The Wilderness is when you come out of a town or something, it's the default one.

No no, I'm pretty sure regular Wilderness is still within a logical area, and The Wilderness is father than you'd ever need to go. Basically completely lost.

Farthest you can ever go is blocked off by some crappy wall. It has raycasting, like bricks, so you can hook over the wall and end up with a glitchy screen. 3rd person gets broken.
