cept this time, we are acquiring woman :D

Great.

ANOTHER war.
to take down a insane dictator that uses automatic weapons and guided missiles against his people. i remember seeing a news page on CNN (i think) which had the horrifically gory pictures of the aftermath of gaddafi's mercenary attacks

and there isn't going to be a land invasion and occupation like iraq or afghanistan, christ. most would be assist the rebels then go to peacekeeping duty done by the UN

I bet that they will just bomb everyone.

I bet that they will just bomb everyone.
Why do you think that?

Why do you think that?
I just have a feeling. Why would they send hundreds of planes to bomb a single man? Will they check for civilians?

well obviously since Obama says we're going to be bombing them there's a chance civilians will be hurt no matter how hard we try not too
but it's alot better than letting many more people be slaughtered by their own government

Still, they are going to actually kill innocents.

In every war I know of innocents have been killed. :l
Except for the Cold War (I think, I'm currently only studing history and past wars, still around the late Civil War)

Still, they are going to actually kill innocents.

Gaddafi is actually brutally murdering tons of innocents. Who knows if they'll even bomb cities, maybe they'll just bomb military installations and such. Which do you think is worse, the chance of a few civilians being killed by bombs, or allowing a tyrant dictator to stay in power and murder his own people?

Also, what altered just said. Edit: well duh except the cold war, it wasn't an actual war. it's called the COLD war because it was just a big sort of standoff, no shots were ever fired or anything. what grade are you in? lol

I know he is. And we are about to kill some more. I'm just saying.

*sigh* and save many many more people from brutal deaths. get over it bro, people die and stuff happens.

I know, I know. And if we try thinking about it, our soldiers will have their lives at stake. I know.

Can you really blame his opinion? This conflict is a lot more transparent than Iraq or Afghanistan but still you can argue whether or not America should be committing the global policeman role. I think President Obama is taking better measures by trying to work with the UN and make it relevant again rather than "Welp forget it, we're goin' in ooh-rah."

I'm really not eager to see another conflict that's going to last another decade, but killing civilians who took arms after being fired upon for expressing their grievances isn't cool. There's a funny catch in international relations that it's a very bad thing to support armed insurrection of another sovereign state. The justification now is that protecting innocent civilians from being killed off by troops reclaiming anti-Gaddafi held towns/cities.

Yeah I'm glad Obama's working with the UN a bit more.
