no.
join the military if you have no other options, but i would highly avoid it unless you plan on going into one of the logistics/paper pusher positions. you do not want to be anywhere near combat.

But how else are you gonna get your prestige up? まほ~

dont join the army
dont join the marines.

thats all you need to know
Army and Marines isn't all combat, there are military bases all over the world where you could be stationed at along with on carriers, being in the military isn't only combat, there's alot more to it in all branches.

My cousin's ex-husband was in the Air Force and all he did was move crates or some stuff all day in Ramstein. He signed up to be a plane mechanic but found out he was colorblind after he had already committed or something, oops!

Well, to start off my post, yes. With the Canadian army. It would be a great start to earning money for college to get a degree, I was planing on fighting with the air force. Or a ground unit to see the combat, yes I know its dangerous. That or get into modeling and scripting with java and torque.

I really like Torque. I'm sure this makes me a bad person but the language semantics just flow with me, like fine wine.

A PHP is fine, too.

Valve uses Lua as a scripting language for games like L4D2 and TF2, so sure, go ahead.

You think that because one stuffty game uses Lua that makes everything that runs it bad? Puh-lease, girlfriend.
