Author Topic: Don't you hate the "oldest child" philosophy?  (Read 2948 times)

The oldest child gets more privileges.

i'm the youngest and my older brother always gets blamed. I put a hole through his door with a broom a few days ago and she yelled at him because he had his stoner friends over. :cookieMonster:
Why?

i'm the youngest and my older brother always gets blamed.
That's my grandma right there.

Technically I'm the youngest but I'm basically an only child because my sisters are way older than me.

My sister went off to college, so instead of my parents being less lenient, they're always hovering around me.

The oldest child was the practice one. If you are the oldest you are merely for educational purposes, then they give it a real go with the other children learning what was good or bad to do with you.

I'm in the middle. :D

I'm in the middle. :D
middle high five.

1000 POST HOLY FFFFF

I'm the oldest too.
Unfortunately, I have this philosophy in my home too.
:(

I'm the younger brother, but my parents would always hear both sides of the story.

Good thing my parents love me and dont follow this  :cookieMonster:

My parents are clever non-stereotype people. They treat my sister and I fairly.. though she is 3 years older then I am.

I'm in the middle. :D

I wish I was an ignored but secretly the best middle child. Like loving Malcolm.

I'm the only child, and I hate it when people say things like:
1. Only childs are brats.
2. Only childs are expected to be the best at everything.
3. Only childs are spoild by their parents.
