Raging at Stocking

I'm still pretty uneasy about these "signatures" in general, here's why:

First, your name appears right above your avatar. We don't need to see it in two different places, even if it is in a different language.
Second, it's caused more harm than good. As soon as you start doing it, you're asking to get flamed by others who are against it.
Third, Badspot disabled signatures for a reason, even if it contained nothing more than your name. He obviously wanted it gone.

I don't mind Stocking now, but I really wish everybody would just stop with the signature thing, both flaming and actually doing it. It's caused probably the most stupidity I've seen out of the forums in a while.

Actually if you check HIS signature he just rages about the stupidly high character limit that can't be changed, suggesting he'd be ok with a lower character limit.

I like how people must be upset over the smallest of issues. The signature thing isn't going to hurt anybody and she just wants to express herself in her own way. She's a really mature person and I like her but she is getting so much unneeded hate because this forum can't handle "change".

Plus I've always kinda wanted signatures to be added to posts by default.

He did want to completely remove them. He complained about not being able to find the code for it or something. I remember also looking through the code and not finding it.
