If this game still needs Lumber I can give you this...

If this game still needs Lumber I can give you this...

That's almost exactly what I had in mind, thanks.

Also, thanks for the support everybody, it's you guys that makes me wanna keep working on this game.

I just can't let this die, I have to finish this.

No problem, I'll help where I can.

i voted "other" and my idea is
ALL OF THE ONES ABOVE "other"

Bump :c

Please don't let this die! This game has real potential and it keeps me entertained for hours on end trying to explore the land and create the best worlds I can. Is there still any art you need help with? :s

good on art

for now

and i'll only post if I have reason to post, so don't expect updates every five seconds

i'm not going to let this die, the game of course, I could care less if the topic gets off page 1 a few times

just losing interest a bit but once I get more inspiration I'll work on it a bit more

probably around when school starts again

/support. I think it looks really fun. Ima try it. Good things for other would be campfire, bodies of water, and maybe railroad tracks (You have to unlock it after a certain amount of time and scientific knowledge o.O).
PS Can you save your world and can you lose? Like if it sucks so bad that it just says restart

This looks amazing.

Maybe add trade caravans that come from other civilizations? Man, now I want to make something like this. :D

I'm starting a little bit of coding today, I'm going to try to re-implement forest exploration and elevation if possbile.

I feel that if I had people watching me I'd have a little bit more motivation to finish this, I don't know. Maybe I could livestream it? Like what notch did? I don't want to seem like a copycat but it's something that sounds like it'd be fun to do.

DDOOO EEETTTT!!

I really want an update or something :c
Maybe a news feed on the OP would be nice saying when the download link is updated or what you are working on when scripting! If you do livestream could you hand us a link <3 That way I can stare at a "not broadcasting" screen for hours. :3

Loved the game, but ran into an error:

Error

Scripts/objects.lua:320: bad argument #2 to 'random' (interval is empty)

It does it for I think most other people as well. No idea what it's actually connected to but if I left the game and did nothing for a while then that would appear. All other times it seemed random.

Oh and something cool would be when you're exploring you could find dropped maps in the Forrest and it would reveal a random radius around that spot?
Or another idea is that when exploring you have a rare chance of bumping into tribal villages. Like tee pee tents. Then you could raid their village or become friends or something. Something along those lines? I dunno really just something to give you more of an incentive to explore. :D

That kind of stuff would be really cool.

Oh, and another thing. Making food requires ore as well as fish. I don't quite understand why. It would make more sense if it required wood, so that you could actually cook it.

Yet another thing. There isn't any way to save the game.

I have too much to say.

The beeping from square to square is annoying as heck.

If it's possible, water should be less common, but when it is discovered, it is more likely around itself? That would create larger bodies of water.

When you cook, it uses up all of your ore and fish. This bugs me.

The errors keep you from progressing very far in the game.

The mines could be a little more cave-like. They look man-made right now.

The trees could be just a tad larger, in order to make it more realistic for them to be covering stuff up.

When you uncover water, it should show you the entire body of water. That would get rid of most of the trees-on-water problem.

It's still in development, and I could go ahead and fix that error right now if i wanted to, seems like such a simple fix.

I still can't really figure out how to save either, it's just a bunch of fudging for me really.

I like the maps idea.

Tribal villages could just be regular villages.

And in order to make bodies of water I'd have to either put in more math for new tiles to have a bigger chance of generating water if there is water around it, or just go the easy route and have a pre-generated map ready.

A pre-generated map seems like the best option. You'd still have to cut down forests to explore it all though.

Pre-generated might work just fine, but after a while, people might start to even know where stuff was. You could possibly have pre-generated map segments.
