How the forget do you start this thing

Ow about you read the OP correctly. We all managed to make it work from Reading it...

I've also had an idea that came to mind when I was thinking about the height levels of the map (and suddenly a question). For the different blocks that are stacked would you be able to select them? So say you had a grass block on top of a stone block would you be able to select the stone underneath or would you have to clear the grass on top. That would mean that we would probably need an up and down key to move the selecting area.
That wat if we had mountains or hits we could dig into the side of it.

And finally is the game's main platform staying on ground level and up or will there be an underground system as well? I'd say it would be best just with above ground control. :D

selecting individual tiles through depth

damn, never would have thought of that

Can't tell if sarcasm or not...
But yeah. It'd probably need Q and Z to go up and down. c:

Edit: Also could you maybe feed a bit of info as to what you're working on? And do you think you'll livestream at all? :s

at the moment I'm not working on anything really, the most recent thing I've done was try put in mouse based selection in the older engine (the one linked in the OP)

and it wasn't sarcasm

EDIT: I got the game to work, just needed to look in the IsoLand file.

is this dead? i hope not :D

you should make more likely to spawn lake tiles next to existing lake tiles to create larger bodies of water, also a way to fill in lakes to get rid of unwanted tiles

also multitasking, you shouldn't have to wait out the mining progress you should be able to just make it mine and move onto other tiles

You should make it generate more than one row of woodlands and make the further ones fade in to black and then replace the blue background with black to create a sort of fog of war effect. And maybe generate other than just forest.
