Author Topic: Help: Wana use 3 screens  (Read 808 times)

I was wondering if it's possible to have 3 screens connected at the same time (all different resolutions). I have a GTX450 which has 3 outputs (VGA, DVI, HDMI). I tried connecting all 3 to my computer but it dosnt allow me to "enable" the third screen. Is it even remotely possible to run 3 screens or am I missing something?

To much thinking for me
go ask someone like bill gates

ATI cards have a feature called eyefinity where you can use up to 6 displays at one time. on nvidia i'm not really sure how it works, but it still shouldnt be a problem. what do you mean by
dosnt allow me to "enable" the third screen

Oh wait, here we go.

Unlike AMD’s Eyefinity-equipped Radeon cards, which can drive three monitors off a single card, the GTS 450 can drive only two displays at once. You’ll need a second card to drive a third monitor using Nvidia's 3D Surround technology.

Sorry bro. You'll need another 450 or just a different card that is capable of 3 displays.

I'm not really the most knowledgeable person when it comes to graphics cards and displays, but it looks you'll only be able to get 2.
