Yep. Thats true, i was infected with an backdoor rootkit. It was known to redirect searches and other stuff.
Norton said: Detected Backdoor.tideserv.
And then it said: Removed Backdoor.tideserv and asked me to restart. Never detected it since the restart.
If anybody wants to know proof this rootkit exists. Here!
Phew. I almost started system recovery. Now i know i wont be doing that for awhile. It also found 137 tracking cookies. Nortons awesome. Ignore the haters. I was using security suite.

What? Oh and you can get banned by 1 letter posts i think.

I use Norton cuz AVG is garbage and my parents won't buy me a different antivirus.

It's not bad though, I've never been infected by serious malware since I got it. まほ~

Avast! is free, that's why I use it

What specific OS did you use?

Trojan Remover - Generically named, loving kicks ass.

I had viruses that disabled anti-virus type programs from opening. Even just regular cleaners, like Hijackthis. But Trojan Remover pulled that stuff out like it was nothing.

I Got Norton 360
Removed Torgens that Trad Micro Missed
