I can try reading it differently, if you want.

Keep in mind these parts are adults, since they're snipers in the military doing an attack (even though snipers don't do that). No offense to JamesTheLeet, but he doesn't sound much like an adult, and neither do I, but I'm pretty sure I'm closer.
