Author Topic: Favourite Computer Manufacturer  (Read 1917 times)

When I was looking for a computer recently, I really wanted to know what brands were good and what were bad. I had my own opinions of course, but I wanted to justify them by hearing what other people thought.

In this topic, you vote for your favourite major computer system manufacturer of all time. You may elaborate why in post form. This may help people decide what computer they wish to buy in the future. Feel free to post any companies not listed.

The voting does not mean you have to select a computer you currently use-- if you use a custom built machine, please vote for what computer brand you would select if you were to not build a computer.

You may wish to vote for a computer brand that is operated by another company. For example, favouring Alienware over Dell, Compaq over HP, eMachines over Acer.

I have a Toshiba laptop, and it's pretty good.

Apple, but for budget Asus.

Dell and Alien ware are technologically the same company. But I like my Samsung laptop a lot.

I'm running a Cyberpower, and my mom and dad are running Velocity... I had to go with ASUS because it saved my computer (DoA'd) and it's been pretty good so far.

Toshiba for laptops, Dell for desktops.

Prebuilt computers are stupid.

Depends on what you use your computer for

I was trying my hardest to stop someone who is prone to building their own coming in and bitching, but I guess they'll always be one.

I usually just build my own computers and the only computer/laptop I've ever purchased was a crappy dell desktop and a really good Gateway laptop. I guess I'll have to say Gateway even for their bad reputation. :/

I just did a quick scan.
