Texturing problem

I made a lightsaber and im having trouble texturing it.
The tansparency freaks out and the blade ends up looking solid.

I've made a simple animation of how to do it

Then after following this step by step tutorial, export the model as a .dts and then go see if it worked, but i'm 98% sure it'd work

The animation changes every 5 seconds
