Author Topic: (Tinnitus) The sound in the back of your head  (Read 2075 times)

I have noticed that if you're in complete silence, in a room, outside alone, Purgatory, where ever.
But if you ever hear yourself, just everything, you can hear buzzing. It's not decided if its loud or quiet, it just fills your mind with this sound. And you can only drown it out by other sounds, although it's always there, always.

The only time I asked a teacher, they disbelieved me for outside sounds like air conditioning and electricity. I still want to see if there's anyone else having the same phenomenon.

Googled 'Tinnitus' after telling Eksi about the phenomenon, and got http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus

After some studying, I found that its a disturbance in the ears. It's caused by listening to music at a higher volume then should be. It can range from a small ringing (Mine) to muffling out other normal day sounds.

Discuss.

I sometimes hear this.
I just wait for it to go away.

That is the sound of silence.

I usually hear heart beats from my ears when its dead quiet.

I think I have heard this sound, but I don't notice much.

That is the sound of silence.

there can't be no sound if theres silence, so how is there a sound OF silence?

My brain is in a condition where it is exerting pain in reaction to this post.

Someone is loving with our ears.

I usually hear heart beats from my ears when its dead quiet.

happens when I fap 3+ times in a row

Can't always define things by the book. If it's quiet, and the only thing you can here is coming from the back of your head, it must be silence.
Therefore, silence is not silence, but a sound. :cookiemonster:

Now that you mention it, I do hear a faint voice in the back of my head.....

I hear a loud SCRRRRREECHHHHING noise every so often and It makes me fall down or put my head down

This is happening to me right now.
Its more like a high pitched beep, but asd far as I can notice, no one else hears it.
