My price range is anything under $150 (AUD)

I'm looking for a headset with a good quality microphone. The quality of the sound is less important. I'll be using it for general gaming, skyping and doing some [indy] voice over work, so I'd like the microphone quality to be clean and crisp (as much as possible for a headset).

Recommendations, go

Get anything logitech.

They last longer than stuffty koss headsets.

The reviews I've seen say the clearchat retails for $100, same as the g35. The quality of the clearchat is good, but I don't think it's as good as the G35 (from the tests I've seen).

Still open to more suggestions.

Opinions of the Plantronics .Audio 655?

I only ask because it's nearly half the cost of the g35 and recommended by skype

Well, I'm going to get the Plantronics .Audio 655. My decision has come down to the reviews of the microphone quality, which by a measure of price:quality appears to be amazing.

I'll post an audio sample here once I get it.
