i think i have Verizon FiOs and it's pretty damn fast.

He doesn't need an unlimited plan. That makes no sense.

I herped my derp a bit.

I ment they should ASK the benefactor of the service if hes gonna use a lot or a little.

I still don't see how that would do any good.

Why would you ask someone to decide if they use enough to be limited? You limit everyone, and if some people dont use enough to be effected by the limit, it doesn't matter.

You're missing the point entirely.

anyone who uses that much internet a month
needs a loving life, or just torrents way too much stuff and should stop anyway.

this.
most of you imagine that kind of limit as ridiculous. while normal browsing and gaming barely uses even a 4th of your limit.
and how much downloading do you really do anyways? if you are actually hitting a limit, then you should be paying for more speed/higher limit anyways.

Um, no, there's just no point to what you're saying. Why poll thousands of customers about how much internet they use, and limit the ones that use over a certain amount, when you can limit everyone to a certain amount? It doesn't hurt the low-usage customers. You aren't a businessman, are you?

I was saying that they don't really have to be richards to those "2%" that use more.

note how there are email limits lol.
this is because it does not take a business class internet to spam a million people a day.

this is more then being cheap bastards, its efficiency of bandwidth and classing of packages.

Yes they do? You don't know their statistics, they were obviously losing money off those customers, or the profits weren't enough to justify servicing them. ATT has some pretty smart people bro, they make billions of dollars a year.

and bisjac, i dont think they're limiting emails, they're just saying thats an example of what you could use in a month.

Were there really that many spammers or mass-pirates that the company had to do this?
