Font issues. Make sure you have all the basic and default fonts, then try again. You may need to redownload.

Possible issues:
You do not have some default fonts on your computer
You downloaded a font that replaced a default font on your computer
You renamed/moved some default fonts on your computer

To add to this, I suggest that you browse around your Blockland folder until you find your font image. If you can't find something that is even closely related, then something is wrong with your UI most likely.

The only thing I can thing of is getting this for google chrome, but I uninstalled it a few days ago: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/inoibihbncpenbmllpjoonoaadechdng

I've actually seen the before. It was a glitch that would happen every now and again that would 'eat' text. It may be an Addon, but that's an uneducated guess.
It may actually be your graphic card...

If I max out some settings in my graphics card controller app (Anti-aliasing namely) it messes with fonts in games. Not in all games though.

It seems to be fixed. If it happens again, I'll just get a new graphics card.
