Because Comic Sans is an overused font. It's a font made for, well, comics, and isn't meant to be used for serious purposes such as an apology. He's using it way out of context, and for that, he must BE ERADICATED.

Not the worst font, but it is pretty bad.  As Miga said, almost 90% of the time it is used where it shouldn't be.
Being into graphic design and all, though, it does get annoying when you visit a website with huge comic sans text everywhere.

Graphic Design class made me start looking out for overuse of fonts. That's when I started hating Comic Sans and Papyrus.

Yeah, it really is everywhere.  In addition to the other things you learn in those multimedia/graphic design classes, you pick up great observation skills along the way.
