OK, i bet no one in blockland can put all these games into a complete storyline heres all the Zelda games ever made. Deal with it lol.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Legend_of_Zelda_games

Heres a guy that attempted that feat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHIP9UtkQDQ&feature=related

Twilight Princess: Link fights things, goes into the twilight zone and defeats gannon, sealing him away.
Ocarina: Link fights and seals away gannon again after he y'know, gets out.
Link to the past: Link fights his way to stop gannon before stuff hits the fan.
LOZ 1: Gannon is released and causes havoc, link attempts to kill him but..
LOZ 2: Gannon fights back and makes the world relatively more violent. You seal him away yet again, and then
Awakening: After sailing back from your victory, you are swept away and you do stuff on an island.
Ages and seasons: More stuff and link stops evil people from being evil.
The Minish Cap: Wait, what's the minish cap?
Majora's mask: Link does more stuff that doesn't involve gannon.
Wind waker: Link is an idiot and went away forever and now there's a new link
Phantom hourglass and Spirit tracks: ^^
Skyward Sword: Who the forget knows? This is yet another link lol

But look at all the holes in the story lol I dont know if i made this clear but as in the game story line as in link kills ganon >ganon is put in a permanent seal>ganon released etc. Not realease date line

What do you mean "series"?

They're all the same loving game.

But look at all the holes in the story lol

Holes? Link does hardly necessary work and effort to defeat gannon a few thousand times while he spanks zelda, disappears, and leaves some stuff kid to do his dirty work for him.

Exactly.

I tried to piece the story together and i couldnt lol..

No no no look at the story line, the setting, the different versions of ganon, the different zeldas i could go on forever.    :cookie:

Only two people know the true storyline, everything else is just guesses and speculation.

Ehm, the guy that made zelda couldnt fit one of the games in... You guys are watching the video right?

Quote
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword < The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time > The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask >> The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time > The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker >> The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass >>> The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past > The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past > The Legend of Zelda >> Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap > The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords >> The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons have no real placement as of yet.

Spinoff titles are irrelevent.

What I don't know is where exactly "A Link to the Past" and "The Minish Cap" are placed.

A Link to the Past has the Master Sword, so it is possible it came before or after Skyward Sword (this may depend on what happens in this upcoming game). I assume it happened after Skyward Sword, but before Ocarina of Time (a personal guess).

The Minish Cap is either a long time before Skyward Sword or a long time after Ocarina of Time. My reason being no existence of the Master Sword, only the Picori Sword (later becoming the Four Sword).
This means it happened before the Master Sword was created or after it had been destroyed/seal away/used in some way (like in Wind Waker where it is left in Ganondorf at the bottom of the sea).

Thus far, either Skyward Sword or The Minish Cap would be considered the oldest story in the game series.

it's not a storyline that continues, neither is Mario

but look up legend of zelda retrospective on game trailers. the guy made a pretty good guess timeline

You realize that retrospective trailer was made by Nintendo/Zelda? It's on their Collector's Edition game.
It's not a timeline video, it's just showing off all the zelda's in released order.

Finally, The Legend of Zelda does have a storyline.

(Unless this "retrospective" trailer is a different one)
