I really like 80's gothic

Now that I think about it, you may like KMFDM. Although KMFDM is more industrial than goth, but hey.

KMFDM - Kickin' Ass
KMFDM - Vogue
KMFDM - Sucks

All right, two of them were from the 90s, but close enough.

Brand New
Taking Back Sunday
Enter Shikari
From First to Last
Saosin

Just last Friday Night I went to Of Mice & Men featuring Woe Is Me, Sleeping with Sirens, I Set My Friends On Fire, and Amity Affliction.

It was pretty good musically, and Austin Carlile asked to take a picture with me! (Was covered in blood from my ear)

I used to be obsessed with the Beatles, Beach Boys, and stuff like that. I still appreciate oldies and listen to lots of classic rock/original rock music on occasions but my bro got me into metal.

There's a good 6 or so days of metal music of various kinds in my library, not gonna list 'em all, but I have some policies on metal.

I like a good melody, or at least good skillful instrumentals. I'm okay with screaming, in fact, it's metal so there's a lot of screaming but I can't stand when it's all super low and gravely, or super high all the time. Ranging screams or stylized screams are good. I usually like the combo of screaming verse, singing chorus.

As for actual bands, I'll listen to anything that sounds good to me.

Holy forget you just summarized my view mostly.

Also, Slipknot is awesome:

Duality
Wait and Bleed
Before I Forget
Psychosocial
Dead Memories

I'm really sure you are being sarcastic.

But anyways, it sounds like the most badass seizure ever.
