After fiddling around with Photoshop and realizing that its paint tools doesn't suck ass I decided to give a crack at painting. Came out stuffty. :C

I pretty much gave up with the lightning towards the end. This took about 15 minutes to make?

stuffty is an understatement

Though the sun(?) is nice.

15 minutes for that? You're pretty skilled :O

Uh, well.
Thats better than what I can do with Photoshop.

Suppose to be flash from lightning.

Like I said I said forget it towards the end and slapped in a lens flare and called it a day.

It's not hard. Draw in solid color then Dodge and Color Burn the forget out of it.

Light looks cool, although I'm pretty sure that was accomplished in one step. Lens flare....

Lightning looks icky IMO.

Is the sun like stuffting purple goo or something?

Yeah I forgeted up big time on lightning. Lens flare was out of laziness.

As for the lighting I put effort into it by using the Dodge and Color Burn tool precisely.

EDIT: I also used the paint mixer tool.

Yep.

Doesn't look too bad, actually.
I like how you put a lens flare in because it shows you're getting familiar with photoshop.  It's sort of a thing beginners do when they first start messing around with photoshop, but that's exactly what I like about it.

I know lens flare is an overused effect. I just threw it in out of laziness.

And I actually am familiar with Photoshop from school but just recently got it for home.

Eh, no necessarily a bad thing. It does look good no matter what.

Sure adds nice suns to my space pictures :P
