Author Topic: TF2 River Canyon TDM: CTF and Capture Points!  (Read 1602 times)

Yay, my first finished build!
This is a TF2 style TDM in a river canyon.

Story
Blu had control over a fork in the river, thus having more control on what could go through. Red was jelly of Blu and so started a battle over the river.

You get points by kills, capturing the other bases flag, or capturing capture points.

Here are some pictures:

Blu base. Red is exactly the same, but red.

Main capture point. Right in the middle of the river. Each team starts with a small capture point.

Another view. Over on the left is the entrance to one of the caves.

Inside of one of the caves. There are two caves that are the same.

Finally, the spawn room. There are no upgrades yet on the classes.

I would like to host this but blockland wants to be very laggy when I host even though I've hosted without lag before.

You can rate x/10.

Simple, but nice.

5/10 In my opinion, it could be more detailed, but I'd play it for sure!

Detail also meaning, if you've played actual Team Fortress 2, add the feel to it. Grains, mine carts, secret computer modules :P

Just a suggestion, but great job.

Thanks. This is really made for fun. But I will try to add more stuff later on. I'm sure that this would be really fun to play on.

A quick question. For the classes, did you use the Demoman, Medic, Scout, etc. Packs for it? Or did you compromise your own style?

I think all it needs is a larger bridge along with breaks in the giant plane to keep gameplay intact.
Otherwise, longer ranged classes will dominate while classes like pyro will have a tough time even reaching people.

Mediocre. Each part looks either spammy or undetailed.

Yes I did use the TF2 packs. But the classes that didn't have their own playertype I just gave them no-jet player. What should I really use?
Also the heavy can't jump over anything. What other player type should I use for heavy?

There's only one path, that's a huge no-no in a game like tf2.

If you made it look less simple this would be eye rape

Eye rape isn't a good thing...

Would anyone want to host this? For some reason when I make a server its laggy. It didn't do this before.
