Author Topic: People with mental disabilities abusing their advantages?  (Read 2037 times)

Usually, those kind of people are pretty calm, not saying all of them are friendly, but there's alot of them out there who just take their advantages for granted, and abuse it, you've probably seen at least one.

There's an obese girl at my school, who either has Downs syndrome/Autism, or something else similar to those, and she is very ignorant towards the teachers [Called our maths teacher a slut, after she got told off after she banged the door open when she came in the classroom], and she seems to get away with everything she does, occasionally, if we do something like algebra or complex fractions/mesurements, she just stands up and goes " hurp durp time to leave the classroom." and we find her later at a burger van somewhere near the school grounds, or in a special needs classroom, on a computer going on fashion websites/games.
And one of the few things about it is that she gets no punishment for this, she only gets in trouble if she does something offensive like insulting the teacher, but she can also get off free with.
1.Hitting another pupil in rage.
2.Throwing somebody's bag.
3.Breaking equipment.

And she's literally a annoyance, especially in our art class where all she really does is scribble some things over the tables, and try to get attention by mocking some people, heck, the first time i came to this school [I recently moved last year], i got greeted by her mocking my name, and then she started throwing my pencil case/bag around, and i backed her off, and she raged saying "Stop that i didn't do anything!!!!"

Anyway, discuss here, should people like that really be let off with things like that, just to protect their feelings and keep their confidence high? or are they just misused and wasted?

There are special schools for such kids, why don't they just go there :/

forget man.

i feel bad for you.

*hugs Aph*

I should get filed for ADHD so I can reap benifits like that :cookieMonster:
But yeah, that doesn't sound good, and even though I've never seen that I'm sure as hell I know how you feel.

There was this handicapped girl in my class a few years back. I had a buzzcut then, and she kept creeping in on me and started touching my hair :C

She also made a huge loving mess whenever she ate her lunch.

sounds like one guy from a class I moved from after 5th grade

She's obviously dancing the Creep.

Creeping like, when I'm drawing stuff on the blackboard in recess or reading a book near the window.

One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Abusing advantages.  :cookieMonster:

All handicaps/autists should be REQUIRED to go to a seperate school.
i just remembered why i didnt like public school that much

I've got ADHD and I'm perfectly fine, in fact, I was the head of my class when I was in school >:U

My mother works with children with autism in a public school. She agrees that they should be separated from others and generally tells me they have no future.
Obese people seem to take advantage of their disability a lot though, ensuring they'll stay fat forever.
