Watching cable news to learn about current events is like playing trivial pursuit to learn history. Whatever story you're hearing has been condensed into two sentences designed to deliver maximum entertainment to you, not to inform you. It hardly matters who you're watching, they basically all tell the same story. Fox news just happens to attach phony moral outrage to everything going on, down to the corny "IT'S 10 O'CLOCK, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE???" tagline.

The whole ring of fire has been really extra shifty recently. There have been earthquakes all over it, most notably in Japan, here in New Zealand, and there have been some shakes around the Philippines recently I heard (oh and lets not forget the constant shaking around Brazil or whereever).
