Not really, because that doesn't take account many variables. With Teddy, you'd rather not have him flying yet.

I did 0 Tolerance selection of the inner pixels, made a new layer, and filled that with the gradient tool.

I scaled it down to 33 percent, did a selection of only edges, gradient in black and white. Then I selected everything else and did a rainbow gradient. Both circle instead of straight lines. Looks better, especially with the consistent pixel size.
