Mac: industry standard for all that creativity stuff

PC: Everything else

Mmm, definitely something strangely more comfortable doing graphical editing on a Mac. Still trying to figure out how to replicate that feeling in 7.

And it looks like the stuffstorm is about to get underway! Special thanks to tonight's catalyst, the always ignorant, never thoughtful _Rave_!
*applause and confetti*
Well Qwepir, I can honestly tell you that I think you are a dumbass.

This is a thread to contrast the Mac and PC brands.  I'll say whatever the forget I want, simply because I can.

>Write very understandable and agreeable argument
>Nobody reconsiders their opinion for a second

Mac Laptop > PC Laptop since gaming laptops are silly and usually pricier than a gaming desktop.
PC Desktops > Mac Desktops due to more room for customization and building high end computers.

Macs are for reliability, PCs are for higher end, or simplicity if you're going cheap.
I changed my opinion a lot after reading this.  I don't see why everyone has to make a big deal over which OS is better, anyway.

I'm not so sure, Macs definitely are reliable but thats because Steve decided he'd keep his OS contained. The recent iMac's are really stuffty when it comes to upgrading, I don't get why Apple is trying to stop people tweaking the internals.

This is for non-biased comparisions you arrogent forget.
You're deliberately stirring up stuff.

Plus I've never seen custom built Macs.

If you want to play video games go with PC.

Everything else use a mac.

I have never seen Mac programs that can outdo Windows programs in both simplicity and capability.

I have no clue what you mean about the simplicity part, actually I think Apple have gone too far with simplicity.

I mean that I haven't seen a Mac-only program that can outdo windows programs in those two categories :U

But, you see, in order to contrast two things, you have to explain the differences. You don't just say "Macs are for old ladies" and think you've just made a point.

lol so many people think the same about you.

I find going through folders and stuff on a PC is easier.

If Granny wants to buy a $500 computer to play solitaire and send emails, all she has to do is go straight to games in all programs, or boot up MSN or whatever you crazy kids use.

if you'd want a mac, go ahead

i wouldn't recommend it though, macs give you AIDS

srs: i don't feel like using a different OS other than Windows because i've gotten used to it

The indexing in 7 (and Vista probably) makes searching so so much better than before too, which I was so happy about. Coming from XP last, the searching ability then was painful to say the least.

Mmhm, you eventually get anchored in by the interface and the software you come to love.

To me it seems like the Finder in my Mac makes everything much more organised...
