Training video was pretty good.  I'm thinking about reenlisting.  I didn't see anything about apps though.  I'm an officer in {GBLD} if that helps.   (ign: Phillip) I was in the clan before but I resignied.

Like I said, all new and existing members have to go through a tad bit of basic training. I'm not letting anyone in just by asking anymore.

You need to have more than a 'tad bit' of basic training. If you'd like, you can have people face me experienced fighters in order to advance to higher ranks or something.

They could be complete idiots and take like 5 hours to get 20 or so kills and that would qualify them for a higher rank by that system.

Try this instead:

Have a more efficient rank-up system that relies on 'skill points'. Clan members could gain skill points doing various things, and every consecutive rank requires more points to rank up. For example, a Lieutenant could require 5 skill points while general requires 30 or something. You should also catalog their amount of skill points in a text file or something, so it would be pretty simple to record. Provide details for each skill point they get, and be sure to include the date they got the skill point on, how they got it, etc...

Here are a few ways members could earn said 'skill points'...

  • Have them face a blockland combat veteran (i'm not naming names) in an 5-round match. If the player wins the most matches, that could qualify them for 1 skill point
  • Building or eventing TDMS, but if they obviously do a terrible job they get no skill points. Likewise, if they do a great job you can reward them extra.
  • Hosting dedicated clan servers, such as dogfights or

Sounds good. How about 4 skill points = rank up. Also, take a look at these:

Fighter Skill Points
--25 kills = 1SP (100 kills = rank up)
--12 objective captures = 1SP (48 objectives = rank up)

Builder Skill Points
--2 or 3 decent builds = 1SP (1SP = rank up)
--10 decent events = 1SP (1SP events = rank up)

Don't base fighter points on kills; Like I said, you could have an idiot who sucks at fighting takes 5 hours to get 25 kills. It shouldn't work that way.

Base it on wins instead.

Also, 10 decent events is nowhere near as high in value in comparison to 2 or 3 good builds. It should be stuff like at least 100 lines of advanced VCE instead.

This, any idiot can event a teleporter.

It takes talent to event a targetable one.

Ev I think that we should also post videos that show what its like everyday in the clan (specifically school rp) I think it would show people how exiting it is.
