Author Topic: More math help...  (Read 1169 times)

Now I need help on special right triangles. For a 30-60-90 triangle, The long leg is 12root2, I need to find the short leg. Would it be 6root2?

It would just be 12 I'm pretty sure. And if I remeber correctly, hypotenuse is 12root3

But I might be wrong.

short leg = x

long leg = x square root 3

hypotenuse = 2x

How would 2root12 turn out to be Xroot3? What math goes into making that just X then?

If 12(2)1/2=x(3)1/2
Would it not be 4root6?

It is.
