Author Topic: Have any of you ever had a cat run away?  (Read 1219 times)

My cat has been gone for 6 days now. He just never came back one night. He's done this twice before but one was for 1 day and the other was for three. We have a brilliant relationship and he always sleeps in my room watching me play on my computer and getting strokes off me, etc. We always feed him very well and there is always cat litter. There's no way he ran away because he was upset with his living standard. He might be out hunting or just gone for a long wander for a week but i'm more worried that he's stuck somewhere/too far way from home and lost.

I've been searching everywhere in the area and he is not in the local park or streets of the local neighbourhoods as far as I can tell. When we let him out usually we don't actually know where he goes (We assume he goes to a friend's territory) so we have no idea where to go to foloow him but I have an idea of the general direction he probably went if he is lost.

We've called into all of merseyside's vets, the RSPCA and the police (Incase he is dead. :[ ) and none of them have seen him. I've also asked atleast 2 people from every neighbourhood and the park around here if they have seen him.

He has just vanished. I'm wondering if any of you have had this happen to you and what I can expect?

Also, if any of you live in the merseyside area of England please keep an eye out for him. He repsonds to 'Kaiba' and has a fang missing which causes his lip to get stuck sometimes (Which makes him recognisable) PM me if you see him.

Cute cat.

I never had a cat run away, but I had a dog run one time. but thats not what this topic is

Once my mum had her cat run-a-way (or maybe it was her friend's cat...) and it was like two months before it returned. She thought it was dead but it wasn't. Cats are great at surviving. So don't worry too much.

I hope so. There's not much I can actually do. :[ Wish I could have a gps put on it's collar.

Also, did it just walk in or was it found by a vet or something?

Your cat is a jew. Just look at that nose!

No but I had my dog run away several times, although my dad always found him lol
I hope you'll find your cat soon

Most of the time when I have had cats they have been eaten or have become tire food. :(

my fat orange cat, sonic(i was a little kid), ran away or was taken or something :(

Yeah, but they died, so that's why. Or rather, when they've been gone for this long they have to be dead.

Just an update. Its been a month and a week since i last saw him. Posters have been put up everywhere and we've had a few supposed sightings that ive gone out to at ungodly hours to look for him at (wasnt there).

Ive had a few deppresive moments, thinking about wether hes dead(unlikely) or if someones picked him up (a lot more likely). I dont pray and im not religous but i find myself willing for him to come home and find his way.

If he ever comes back ill bump this one more time.
