Well today was quite entertaining. Allow me to set up a scenario.
School let out so everyone was on there way home, me and my friend were in my car. We were on a road I take multiple times everyday. This is a single lane road but it breaks into three lanes at an intersection. One lane goes left, on goes straight, one goes right. The lane that goes straight reverts back into one lane after the intersection. I took a picture after the incident, it isn't very good but it works.
Note the overhead signs and ground markings indicating which lane is which.So I was in the straight lane waiting for the light to change. Then this minivan pulls up next to me in the left turn lane, I assumed they were going to turn so I payed no mind. The light changed and I drove through, then I noticed the van next to me was also trying to go straight. Two cars side by side heading to a one lane road doesn't turn out well. So as I was about to hit the curb I gunned it and moved in front of the van. I was then honked at for about 5 seconds.
I thought it was over until I stopped at the next red light. I looked in my mirror and saw the driver of the van, a hispanic woman about 35 years old, storm out of her car and approach mine. I was greeted with her continuously cursing at me saying I "cut her off". I remained calm and told her I was in the straight lane and she was in the left turn lane. She told me "No I was in the straight lane you loving moron". I told her she is welcome to drive back and check. She then told me she had a babythe car. I thought this was funny because three of her other passengers were smoking. If her poor driving doesn't kill the baby all the smoke sure will.
She told me "My baby is in that car, cut me off again and my family will kick your ass". So I simply told her "You want to get put in a cop car in front of your baby? If not you better step the forget away from my car." Apparently the threat of police scared her away because she just called me a loving child and walked away.
I think my "I don't give a stuff" attitude towards her constant yelling pissed her off, the situation worked out great.
